Dr Louise Gartner is an experienced Radiologist with over 25 years of experience and a special interest in Musculoskeletal Imaging. She started her medical career in 1998 in the United Kingdom and was most recently practising at the National University Hospital (NUH) Singapore as the Head of the Musculoskeletal Division (Radiology), and a member of a team of musculoskeletal radiologists providing MRI, Ultrasound and CT service across a diverse range of cases including sports medicine, musculoskeletal tumours, general orthopaedics, reconstructive spinal imaging and rheumatology.
She graduated from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in 1998 (MBBS BSc), and undertook her postgraduate medical training on the South West Thames rotation in London, where she obtained her membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2003. Her general radiology training was on the North West Thames Programme in Diagnostic Radiology, with further specialist experience in musculoskeletal imaging gained at Chapel Allerton Leeds, Chelsea and Westminster and The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital at Stanmore. She obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2006 and was awarded her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2010.
Dr Gartner is also an experienced speaker at local and regional conferences and has been actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching throughout her career. She was a physician faculty member for the NUHS Diagnostic Residency Programme, an affiliate member of the National University Cancer Institute of Singapore and an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Outside of work, she loves to get outdoors and enjoys running, cycling, crossfit, trekking and spending time with her 2 children and husband.
